SandsteinLabs

Software for good ideas — thoughtfully designed, carefully built.

SandsteinLabs is an independent software lab from Dresden. Apps and digital experiments start wherever a good idea, an unresolved detail, or simply a better way is reason enough to build something.

Where an idea leads depends on the idea itself. Intuitive experiences, clean architecture, and thoughtful handling of data remain constant.

  • Clarity

Good software should rarely need to explain how it wants to be used.

  • Architecture

Modularity creates the space for software to grow without becoming more fragile with every change.

  • Privacy

Privacy is part of product quality — not a marketing checklist.

Journal

A piece of home.

SandsteinLabs carries a piece of Dresden and its surroundings in its name. Not far from the city, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains begin with their distinctive rock formations.

That regional connection is where the name comes from — and a small counterpoint to an industry whose products can often feel as if they came from anywhere.
